Revised rule for the Compact Demoltion Derby/ You can run the original gas tank but you can only have 2 gallons in it. Inspector will inspect it.
Attention Race fans--Saturday August 30, Monroe Motor Speedway is proud to announce the 1st annual "Night of Destruction". We would like to welcome the King of Destruction Doug Rose and his Green Mamba Jet car as it destroys a car right in front of you. We wil also have a Compact car demolition derby. The winner will get $500 to win, second $100 and third $50. Simple rules on the demolition derby. Must be a front wheel drive COMPACT car. (Battery )and a small (fuel can) must be mounted inside of car. Take out all glass and interior. You must pay the pit fee only. No car entry fee. Round #2 of the King Of The South race will be Saturday August 23, 2008. This will be 50 laps and $700 to win. Don't forget the $50 entry fee for all drivers. Your first round winner #88 Jimmy Whitlock is already locked in for the King Of The South national event.
Late Models- Congratulations to #46 Nick Glaze for being the first pole winner and feature winner all in one night.
DRIVER RADIOS. All drivers racing at MMS must have a scanner in their car so they can hear the tower. The scanner #467.600. As of July 12 this is mandatory. The pit steward will check all radios before you go on track, this INCLUDES COMPACTS.
