Meeting Set for This Sunday, February 21, to Help Save Speedway

Monroe, LA. (February 15, 2010) The public is inivted on Sunday, February 21, at 2 pm at the Ouachita Valley Branch Library at 601 Mcmillan Road in West Monroe, LA. to an open meeting with the owners of Monroe Motor Speedway for a group discussion on how to save the speedway.
Gus Campbell, one of the board members for the speedway, has called for the open meeting for all drivers, crews, fans, anyone who is interested in helping saving the speedway for sale.
Former General Manager Rusty Marcus plans to attend if at all possble having just finished the 6th Annual Fun in the Sun Winternationals with Legends, Bandoleros, and Thunder Cars at Orlando SpeedWorld in Bithlo, Florida.
The track is due to be sold on March 17 by the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office.
Anyone who is interested in helping save the track is invited on Sunday and Campbell is hoping for a large turnout. |
